Astma vil oppleves individuelt, og sykdommen varierer både i symptomer og alvorlighetsgrad

Det finnes mange forskjellige medikamentelle behandlinger, og de fleste med diagnosen kan effektivt holde sykdommen i sjakk med medisiner.1

5 til 10 % av alle astmapasienter har imidlertid en grad av sykdommen som kalles alvorlig astma. Dette betyr at sykdommen vil være vanskeligere å kontrollere. Selv med flere medisiner i bruk, vil man kunne oppleve høy grad av symptomer.2,3

Alvorlig astma blir ofte ikke oppdaget. Pasienter med alvorlig astma er ikke alltid klar over at sykdommen deres faller inn i denne kategorien - og den som ikke selv har astma skjønner ikke nødvendigvis hvor alvorlig det kan være.3,4

Vi ønsker å bidra til økt bevissthet om symptomer på og konsekvenser av alvorlig astma.
